continuing to work on my sketching, i did in fact do a little drawing on my most recent trip back east. although it wasn't exactly a [live] sketch of the greenfield hill church in fairfield connecticut, since it was drawn on the train heading back to boston, i was happy with it. the swaying and vibrations of the train can be seen in a few of the lines and actually seem to help me achieve that [sketchy architect] look i always try for. maybe i should sketch more on trains....

[east] mode
earlier this month found me taking a quick vacation to the east coast with my girlfriend. there was no real straightforward narrative to write about, rather a patchwork of different events and locations. transportation ranged from planes, trains and automobiles, and destinations ranged from dense city cores to seaside towns, to serene beach fronts. the only common thread weaving this wanderlust weekend together was being able to spend time with someone special.
