 autumn leaves are falling...everywhere.

what does the [chalk] say

 was curious if anyone in the neighborhood would recognize ths reference.... they did.

 i guess you could say I'm missing home a bit.  wish i had a pair of ruby slippers right about now.

the [sketchbook] experiment 3

back in 2010 i said i wanted to sketch more...

in 2012 i finished my first full sketchbook

in 2014, i finished my second.

embarrassingly here in 2020, i finished my third. there are a thousand reasons why it took me longer but the simple answer is i'm just not sketching as much as i use to.  that needs to change.

as a kid, i remember building model rockets and spending summer evenings firing them off!  it seemed only appropriate to celebrate those days of summers past in chalk.

during this pandemic it's important to look on the bright side and try to remain positive.  here's a bee to remind us to not worry...bee happy!

it appears baseball is back! to celebrate here's a chalk drawing of one of my all time favorite baseball songs.

[fruits] of my labor

last summer, i planted two blueberry bushes at the end of the season.  all winter long, i waited to see if the roots took hold before the winter set in.  thankfully come spring, leaves actually appeared. early in the summer, blooms appeared and finally some fruit.  for a year, i've watered and worried. here are the literal fruits of my labor.
