 maybe it's the fact architalx was this month but this weeks chalk drawing had some serious architecture influence from the man himself.  i;m sure frank would cringe at this drawing but the neighbors seem to enjoy it.

on[line] lectures

i belong to an organization call architalx whose mission is to bring four speakers to the city of portland every april to talk about architecture and design. however with the pandemic, we had to switch to lectures online. like a good organization always does, we didn't let that stop us from putting on a quality month of lectures. not only was this a great opportunity to hear some incredible architects, landscape architects and designers speak, it also allowed me to break out my new sketchbook come and get a few sketches....all in the comfort of my pajamas.

so this is 40. 

 

to be honest not what i expected or planned.  minus the fact that we're still in the middle of a global pandemic and this is the second birthday spent in quarantine without celebrating with friends...there is no way i would have guessed my life would have been like this when i turned 40.  not good or bad...just unexpected. but i guess i'm at the point in my life now where i can say [that's life] and really have some experience behind it

to borrow a line from my blog title, here i am 40 years old, learning about life and getting paid with experience...still.
