am i an [artist]?

 my first commissioned art piece.

finding a sketch i had done of ocean beach on instagram, someone reached out to me to see if i could draw their yoga studio for them.  naturally, i sad yes!  the price was agreed upon and i started sketching.  i sent her a draft, she sent the cash, then i physically mailed the final product to her, to which she wrote me back that she was thrilled!

does this mean i'm an artist?

come[t] as you are

i was able to get out to check out comet neowise last night.

i am by no means an expert at photography, let alone, night time, long exposure space photography, but i was pleased with the pics i was able to get.  basically i've learned to take a lot because 90% of the photos will not come out right.  thankfully the subject of the photo was pretty chill and let me take my time.

hopefully i'll be able to get back out before his comet dissapears for the next 6,800 years.

a [box of chalk] that never [runs] out

this weeks chalk art is brought to you by a huge new box of chalk, with several new colors, i received from my daughter for fathers day.

it's also inspired by one of my favorite movie scenes of all time, the elevator scene in "500 days of summer" where the two main characters discover their mutual love for "the smiths."
