a [befuddled] mind

by far one of my biggest weaknesses is the inability to multitask. to really focus on anything, i have to completely un-focus on everything else. maybe it's just the way my mind works, or it could be my gender. the one advantage to this is when i am focused on something it truly does have my undivided attention, of course that comes with the cost of not paying attention to anything else.

the better part of november was spent studying for one of my architecture exams. for weeks i was educated on the advantages and disadvantages of different hvac systems, sewage pipe sizing, and foot-candles counts of different light fixtures. after taking my exam, i awoke from my architectural induced coma, to find fall had passed me by. there were no leaves on the trees, and christmas lights had somehow appeared on buildings and trees.

i'm currently planning on taking a few weeks off from studying to enjoy the christmas season with friends and family. let's all hope i have enough motivation to pick back up after the first of the year. not only does finishing my exams make a great resolution, but with a lack of holidays, combined with the weather, january and feburary are great month to stay inside and study
